Earth Day: Every year we take part in Earth Day activities at our courses. Check out our event page for this year's details.
Brickyard: Over $30,000 has been allocated as of April '10 for Brickyard projects. Female buckthorn has been sprayed with a basil application December 2009. Garlic Mustard was sprayed at the end of April, 2010. A huge staircase has been built on hole 5 and an alternate tee pad added. Mulch has been spread by the putting area, hole 1, 2, and 4 plus a wildflower garden has been planted on hole 1. In late spring 2010, we will be spraying for all male buckthorn, and poison ivy on fairways and roughs. Grass will be sprayed with a slow growth application that will help reduce the amount of mowing needed over summer. Other staircases will be constructed on several of the hillsides where steps are not currently to code. Landscaping with a bobcat and tractor will be performed on several areas of the course including further mulch spreading.
Menomonie Middle School: We are seeking lifetime tee sign sponsorships for area businesses, organizations, and families to help cover the costs of the course equipment, install cement tee pads, vegetation growth management, and to further the educational materials and discs for the phy ed classes. Request the MMS DGC Master Plan and Sponsor Package by using our contact form and include your email.
Lambs Creek Disc Golf Course: Further hillside terracing, landscaping, tee pad upgrades, vegetation control, and Putting course upgrades are scheduled for spring/summer 2010.
